Reviewing the new EGG spring 2024 Volume!

ちゃおっす It's Spacy! This is the single most thing I have been excited for, for about 3 months now. I know you've been seeing my making the royal mail (British postal service) my No.1 enemy for a while now, but why? What was in that goddamned box spacygirl? yeah it was my BRAND NEW SIGNED EGG VOLUME GWAK!!!! ik ik, I was saying gyaru volumes are too expensive and inaccessible then boom got one in my house! So sit down and let's review this magazine together, with translations! Pics!Prices! and a full run down on all my opinions and how I purchased it, and even my purchasing recommendations!

So the first thing to talk about, 'how did you buy signed volume when those are only available for Japan purchase, you literally said it yourself.' Yes, I did say that myself. This was what I also had thought till I was telling my sweet darling oomf Memi (@Kat4omo1 on twt) about the LOALO photobook and she asked 'are all their magazines online or do they have physicals', I then replied 'Physicals only, but their photobook is digital, they dont ship outside Japan'.

This was when I was informed of a little thing called 'Buying requests.'

Buying requests is when you request to purchase an item from another website, let me explain in more detail.

Neokyo (the proxy I used) offers to buy products from Japanese sellers on websites like Yahoo Auction or Mercari Japan, ship it to their warehouse and ship it overseas for a fee. 

Buying requests work differently from simply buying off another seller through a proxy website.

When I request the EGG volume, the first step I had to do was send a link on the website to the product I wanted.

I had to put inn certain customisations, since the website offered you the choice of a sticker with the purchase of a signed volume, I choose the Kiiripu option.

You can then send in your request, and you will wait for approval, if your request is approved, it means you can pay for your product and wait for it to be shipped to the warehouse, if it is not then you may have filled out the request wrong or there was a problem/ restriction with the product you were trying to request.

Since this volume was a first time purchase I got a deduction fee, although I don't remember how much the deduction actually was *lol* but I believe it was a 1000yen reduction or a 750 yen reduction.

The original price of the product was 2,500 yen which is around 12.50 currently, but I bought this in March when the Yen was a bit stronger so it was actually like £13.

After the Neokyo fee of 250 yen, my total initial bill was 2000 yen, which currently is exactly £10 but back in march it was a bit more then £10, it was £10.91 or something.

I paid with my debit card which added an international transaction fee, so my initial  bill came to a total of £11.73.

On the 29th of April, the day of the volumes official release, my parcel arrived at the warehouse, and about a week after sending in my packing request, i payed for the shipping, bringing my entire bill to £24.40 (Shipping was 12.67)

My package then arrived around 4 weeks after originally arriving at the warehouse.

Now, lets take a look at the actual volume.

This is the first page when you open the volume this is the first page, with Kyiiripu, Mirichamu, Yuzuha, Aimero, Aimero, Aisa and Aimin are all posing having fun in Ishigakijiima, Okinawa, I didn't take pictures of the other pages but in the report, they spent 2 nights and 3 days in Okinawa having fun even though it was bikini off-season.

To start, I'm really happy we won that battle (for the plane tickets in guessing). Thank you to everyone who supported us, and it was amazing to come with people I like. it was a miracle the clothes I ordered came just in time....

I was worried about sea sickness and it was so cold i thought i was gonna die (😂)

But (smiling bitterly) when it was over, everyone was so excited.

Yuzuha:

Ishigaki Island is so much fun... i love it so much I want to move there now. I'm so excited to be able to travel with my highschool friends thanks to everyone's support. By the way, I wore a one piece beautiful pattern dress, perfect for a tropical climate, and it looks great against the orin blue sea

Aimin:

The Umibudo (sea grapes) I fell in love with the last Okinawa project were delicious this time as well!! What's more, I tried Acai for the first time and it was completely different from what I imagined, and it was so delicious!! All of the food on the island was amazing... I had so much fun with my seniors that I lost sleep...

Aimero:

I love Ishigaki Island but my eyes are sensitive to the sun, so I have a hard time opening them, It's so bright, but despite that, it was amazing!.... I want to come back again, and thank you so much to all the fans who gave me the gift of shooting at Ishigaki island 🩷 It was a very happy 2 nights and 3 days!!

Aisa:

This time, I really wanted to travel with the graduating party, so I did my best! And it was fun spending 2 nights and 3 days together, the place we stayed was great, the food was really delicious, and it was a satisfying trip to Ishigaki island for the first time 🎶 I'm already looking forward to going back again (lol) But next time I come, I wonder if it'll be in the summer when it's not so cold

Kyiiripu:

Im glad I seriously tried to lose weight this time ~!! I might have eaten a little too much! But i held back, probably because the sweets were too good. Since i'm graduating from EGG this issue, I bought loads of outfits with me. I don't want any regrets (lol). What's more, the filming wasn't as strenuous as I had imagined, so I was able to chill and sleep well at night in the best accommodation!! It was truly a great memory 🎶

'I've been active as an Egg-mo for about 6 years, which seems like a long time when I look back on it, but participating in EGG changed my life. Everyone can see when checking SNS, EGG is a great place. It was a place that was more important than just a place. I was able to realise the value of living, but in a sense, I felt filial* to my parents everyday (laughs). To summarise, 'A place that allowed me to live the life I was looking for, thats EGG... EGG who had just been revived didn't know what would become of it, and is grateful to everyone for supporting and loving him

'While I was happy to be an eggmo, there were a lot of things that made me really angry, but looking back at it now, I have really fond memories, regardless of my appearance, way of thinking, environment etc, do you think being apart of EGG had given me a positive 'gal' mindset? If I wasn't modelling for EGG, I would've ended up in the local trash... maybe (lol). Also, mydad who agrees with 90% of my opinions, my mom who gives me good advice, and Miruki who is actually more of a gal minded person, and all who have continued to support me for 5 years and 8 months. Thank you so much to all the fans who supported me 🎶. In the beginning, there were times where I got discouraged because of harsh/critical comments such as 'That's not an EGG model' but gradually, the number of people who supported me increased. I can't tell you how many times I've been helped. I will continue to surprise everyone and continue to evolve...

EGG, thank you for the past 6 years 🩷 , everyone, family, friends who have supported me... All of our memories are treasures. EGG and Usagyuzu are forever ~!

'I had worked as a Tarento* before joining EGG, but there has been no place where I feel more comfortable then EGG. I didn't really attend middle school much, and highschool was a correspondence school*, so in a sense, all I had was EGG, It really feels like Mirichamu's home.I wonder what I would have done if I hadn't met EGG?! I might not have done anything at all, so I'm really grateful to everyone who gave me a place to stay. My family paid for my clothes and transportation when I first started out, there were times were things were rocky, but I'm really grateful, I would like to thank all the senior models who have taught me the ropes. This volume is AMAZING, i loved it so much and i feel so lucky to not only get a copy but get it signed by Kirei who is one of my favourite EGG models, she looked amazing this entire volume but I was a little sore missing out on her exclusive cover.

Now you may be asking, but Spacy.... Where can I order an EGG magazine? Well thats a nice question my friend.

If you don't want to pull your hair out waiting a month after the magazine drops looking at all the spoilers, you can preorder the magazine from Amazon japan and have it shipped to your country and it will arrive the day it drops in Japan.

It's also cheaper this way, I payed £24.40 but if you got it shipped through amazon the cost would be less then £20.

This magazine is amazing, I was so excited to get this and they didn't disappoint!

Theres still so much I could've shown but I aint no gal revo so there won't be any high quality scans from the queen of charity like gal revo, i'm just a broke teenager who hasn't slept in over 24 hours and just finished an 11 week project gimme a break ill post more throughout the week okay?

Ah.... now time for the part of this I've been wanting to address the most....

I am  a hypocrite!

What? why would anyone openly admit to being a hypocrite.

Let me explain

Multiple times I have criticised EGG on the base of moral and ethnical practices they've engaged in, but buying this new volume also meant directly supporting new EGG, which wasn't something I had considered when purchasing this volume.

I had bought the volume bc I wanted to own Kirei's grad volume with her sign on it because getting your hands on one of these it pretty hard, so I purchased the volume really excited at that prospect while ignorantly neglecting my stance on new EGG, it's hypocritical, and I a honestly admitting I am a hypocrite, so if I ever somehow come across the funds to buy a new egg magazine, I will not be directly buying from EGG as that supports new egg which I think is a bad decision seeing the way EGG treats their models.

I'm not going to be stupid and justify it, I fucked this one up. I'm only saying this now as a way of holding myself accountable and setting a standard for myself, this is just what I believe was the right thing to do.

Today has been fun, this volume is amazing and anyone lucky enough to own it knows so aswell. This is also my first magazine review so be kind I didn't watch or read how others do this were doing it spacy style!👹
