EGG mags - how to shop for your demographic!

 ใกใ‚ƒใŠใฃใ™ It's Spacy!

Egg is for teens, ageha is for adults, yeah thats what you'll find out when ur a baby gal, but when you graduate to shopping for your first EGG mag, u may be shocked to open your magazine and find something completely different to what you expect! This blog post will help you not make that sort of mistake!
First thing, something important to understand about gyaru mags is that magazines have become less nsfw over the years. If you're here from my twitter account, you've probably seen me talking about suggestive contents in certain magazines, so lets get a real demographic overview.

1998-2008 Egg magazines-

If you're looking for a more mature version of egg, 1990's to 2008 egg magazines are definitely your pick, I say this for many reasons, egg was a lot more mature back then, from their fashion to even the contents of the magazine. From gravure to even some things considered not safe for work, egg back then is something you'd be shocked was considered for kogals and teens, however, in those days of gyaru, those things were pretty typical. These black riot winter 2007 egg editions are cool, but if you are a kiddy gal and shopping for your first mag, be aware that there is NSFW content in the magazines that your mummy won't be too happy to find.
Like all gyaru mags, this era of egg mag gives fashion and hair tips.

2009- Egg magazines

If you ask me, this era of egg magazines was at its pride around 2009-2012, after 2012, the magazine looked boring in its attempts to cater to teenagers who weren't interested in gyaru anymore by picking up on the bihaku craze but it just made egg look horrid. 2009- Egg magazines are more fashion based, and although there is still gravure and bikini shoots, you wouldn't open up these magazines to find people posing in explicit 'mature' poses and talking about their 'mature' encounters. I think this magazine is best for the baby gals who are new to gyaru.

Egg Beauty

I don't know if it's been noticed if I've been avoiding talking about make, but this is because if you're a gal struggling with make, in inspiration or skills, egg beauty if the mag for you! These special egg volumes contain tips for make, brands, and how to achieve a gyaru look! This mag is not limited to just beginners but it's definitely good if your a new gal or looking to improve your skills

Mens EGG -

Don't think I forget about my gyaruo's! If you're a gyaruo looking to buy a men's egg mag, listen up....
Men's egg is a magazine targetted towards older male gyaruos (maybe around college age) and shares clothing advice and where to buy good clothes. However... men's egg may contain content definetly not safe for work, and if you are interested what that could be, you can see if for yourself, or you can read the tweet where I had to find out for myself. All in all if you're an older gyaruo looking for a cool magazine men's egg would be you're calling

Men's egg youth-

Men's egg youth is a more bright and cheery mag, newest in this blog, mainly aimed at younger gyaruo's (highschoolers mainly). Men's egg youth is essentially Men's EGG but for younger men. Unlike the other magazines however, I haven't had the chance to scroll through a full volume, so the contents of a men's egg youth magazine isn't known to me either, so if you do want to buy this mag, be aware I haven't even got a full volume scan to check whats in it, although, its not visible unless you scroll up and translate it, the First men's egg volume does mention this mag will teach u how to pick up all the gals, so expect relationship advice like other mags!!

I was supposed to upload this blog post yesterday but I guess I forgot!.....

Thank you for reading, I'll do the same for some other magazines at some point but it's best to cover the largest base for now!

Bye bye- Spacy Mackerel chan
